VAT

As of 1st January 2010, VAT in the UK has reverted back to 17.5%. Vintage MG Parts originally reduced many inclusive prices on announcement of the VAT reduction. We have decided to leave these unchanged for the time being although as stock is gradually renewed, we will adjust at that time. Please remember, we do not charge VAT on our website prices.

Here in Yorkshire our CNC machinists are making great progress on our pumps and here are some more photos of their progress. These pumps are our own development work and incorporate several significant improvements compared to the original and remanufactured pumps and without compromise. We are not simply referring to 'run of the mill' improvements to include modern lip seals and shaft upgrades etc,
we are taking this project much further.

We cannot disclose more details at this stage for obvious reasons apart from to say that any customers contemplating purchasing a pump will find it advantageous to hold off on any similar product until they are in a position to compare VMGP innovation, quality and of course, our price; our pumps will be worth the wait and will only be available here. We have already taken several orders and we anticipate being left with limited stock.

There will be no VAT on this product and it will also be available at an export price for non EEC customers

Body Mounting Clamps - Tall & Short

We are taking orders to produce a quantity of MMM body mounting clamps. Shown above are from our sample batch which we have in stock for another project to be announced shortly. We would like to highlight that our tall clamps are made correctly and in accordance with the original design whereby you will note that we have used a sand core to create the correct recess profiles.

The photo on the right is a slightly larger version as used on the K Type and we can easily manufacture these if there is sufficient demand (original K Type bracket shown).

Rocker Shaft Bushes & Circlips

We have just received our latest and largest batch of our Yorkshire CNC'd bushes. These are now well known to the MMM community in terms of our development work, i.e. increased capacity internal oil groove, the main bore is reamed to a specific shaft tolerance without the need for final reaming and all bores are countersunk to remove burring.

This latest unengraved batch now incorporate a reduced width circlip groove which we now specify to take a circlip width of 1.20 mm. Our previous engraved bushes take a 1.40 mm width circlip.

Our own in-house manufactured product with the exception of our CNC machined knobs produced here in Yorkshire. We have kept a meticulous eye on detail copying an original set. We have chosen to produce these in highly polished imperial size stainless steel rod.

Our own VMGP in-house product now with a change in design and radius machining profiles. We have also decided to incorporate blind holes for the clamp bolts (instead of straight through) to keep out the bad weather and as such, we use zinc plated bolts which now insert from the top face instead of the underside. You will not find the same spec improvements elsewhere.

We also keep our own stock of knobs and badges. These badges are a faithful copy of the original Stratton badge and are in hard enamel.

P & L/K/N Type Stainless Steel
Water Jacket Plates

Following on from our successful M/J Type stainless steel water jacket plates, we redesigned our pressing tools to produce later MMM plates and we used an original N Type plate to replicate the correct profile. Throughout December we have been dispatching these to all our customers who had requested this new project.

We have now restocked, we sub contract the pressing work as we use a 200 tonne press for the thickness of the material we have chosen but the rest is all made in-house, they are exclusive to us and they are made from 100% stainless steel, i.e. including the manifold diamonds and studs. These will outlast your car!

We also have stainless steel fixing screw and washer sets available.

J2 and P Type Petrol Tanks

We are now able to supply J2 (late round back type) as well as P Type petrol tanks, complete with neck, breather and drain. These are not the 20 gauge type but are made in a thicker 18 gauge and are in stock or made to order.

N Type Cylinder Head

These are of exceptional quality and are generally machined to order, accommodating your preferred specification of finish. All faces are machined and holes tapped as standard to include shaping of the combustion chambers etc.

We can also arrange for standard compression to be raised, valve guides to be pressed in, hardened exhaust valve inserts and cutting of valve seats if requested (price for additional work on application).

We hope to have a few J and P Type cylinder heads arriving shortly and we are now taking deposits from interested parties.

Following several months of careful research and development, we now have pleasure in announcing the arrival of our correct style bonnet catches which, for this specification are exclusive to us. Complete with the original, correct style conical pin. You will not find these available elsewhere at this present time. Many sets are spoken for but we have some additional sets available. We can only have these catches made in quantity and therefore, we cannot repeat this project in the short term.

Nesthill Hose Clips

We now have new stock of Nesthill style hose clips. All MMM cars leaving the MG factory in the 1930's were fitted with this item, Patent Number 575270 and these are faithful reproductions being made out of the correct thickness 18 guage brass and which has then been nickel plated. These are available in both MMM sizes, i.e. 1 5/8 inch for the lower radiator hose and 1 7/8 inch for the top fittings. Feel free to enquire on less common sizes. This is the product for all concours MMM MGs.

We are licensed to manufacture components incorporating the prewar MG trade mark.

We supply parts to both the MMM trade and individual MMM enthusiasts.

Many of our parts are manufactured in-house and are not available elsewhere, some are supplied to us, whilst others are specifically made for us and to exacting specifications of original components.

Over the past eighteen month period we have developed our manufacturing independence sourcing completely new sources to produce high quality components to include local CNC machinists to the Ministries of Aviation and Defence.

Throughout our revised catalogue format we now specify new standards we are setting in raising the quality and accuracy of some individual parts which have been made available through other sources. We are proud to have raised these standards that are now being recognised and followed by other enthusiasts and suppliers. We also seek to incorporate modifications of certain parts where there is a clear benefit and where there is not a conflict with originality. There are numerous examples highlighted throughout our catalogue pages and we hope you enjoy reading about what we are continuing to achieve.

Many of our parts are in stock and immediately available, some will be made individually to order and some are in the final stages of production.
